ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform assembly and repair operations per documented procedures and applicable standards.
- Exchange information with auditors as needed.
- Contribute to building a culture of cooperation and teamwork to improve product flow, quality and reduction in scrap.
- Must be an active agent to support efforts in increasing quality and efficiency.
- Review instructions and records for accuracy and correct GDP.
- Perform QC inspections per documented procedures and applicable standards.
- Review instructions and records for accuracy and correct GDP.
- Document Errors though creation of NCRs and QFs.
- Follow all safety and ESD guidelines.
- Ensure good organization and cleanliness of workbench and manufacturing area.
- Train other associates on assemblies which you have training and experience.
- Able to be trained to complete assembly, repair and sub-test work in any area of the plant.
- Act as a mentor to less experienced associates.
- Authoring non-conformance reports and/or change orders as required.
- Perform rework per standard rework procedures and F079 rework instructions.
- Perform any test operations per documented procedures and applicable standards.
- Conduct assembly troubleshooting.
- Conduct electronic circuit analysis and/or troubleshooting.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education and Experience: Training beyond high school including either an Associates in Electronics (or equivalent) or a combination of education and experience required. Has demonstrated proficiency as an Technician (or has equivalent industry experience).
- Skills and Abilities: Ability to perform intricate electrical and/or mechanical assembly; Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication; Work at or above standard job quality; Must successfully complete hands-on solder training within the probation period; Basic soldering skills; Basic computer skills; Ability to work at standard job efficiency after a reasonable job-training period; Familiarity with basic electronic test equipment; Ability to use critical thinking and troubleshooting techniques for known issues.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 25 pounds; Ability to stand for an extended period of time; Ability to stoop, reach and lift with your body and arms; Ability to see details at close range and to identify and distinguish colors; Ability to quickly move your hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects; Ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects; Ability to use hand tools.
