Electronics Technician

Lutron has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Electronics Technician at our office location in Boston, MA. Work in a hands-on environment as a member of cross-functional engineering teams, supporting the development of new products from initial concept through testing, manufacturing, and support.

About the role

Electronics Technicians collaborate closely with some of the best engineers in the industry and contribute to the entire product development lifecycle. You’ll be involved in design verification, hardware prototyping, product qualification, and transitioning designs into manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct extensive design verification and testing of both analog and digital circuits using fundamentals of electronics, electricity, and basic wiring
• Perform product testing, including user interfaces and communication protocols
• Build and troubleshoot hardware prototypes, including soldering and debugging circuit blocks
• Set up and execute product qualification testing in a laboratory setting
• Develop test automation scripts for lab instruments
• Assist in transitioning designs from engineering into manufacturing
• Coach or mentor other technicians

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Technology, Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology, or related field
• Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience working with electronics, including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMMs), function generators, and other related equipment (preferred)
• Proficiency in soldering and reworking SMT and through-hole circuits (preferred)
• Experience or knowledge of Python (preferred)

Pay

$60,000/yr to $73,000/yr plus overtime and bonus.
