Electronics Technician
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot CNC/PLC controlled equipment problems using schematics and manuals
- Perform basic and complex machine/plant wiring
- Use test equipment to solve problems
- Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC servo drives, power supplies, and feedback devices
- Troubleshoot/replace various switches and electrical components
- Design/assist in equipment refurbishments and /or upgrades
Qualifications
- Education: HS diploma/GED required, Associate's degree in electronics preferred
- Preferred Skills and Abilities: Knowledge/experience/training with machine tool controls, CNC and PLC, experience with 480/277/220 three phase power, transformers and wiring, use of advanced trades math together with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts and technical skills knowledge, ability to plan, troubleshoot, perform and make decisions as to the sequence of set-ups, operations and processes, ability to interpret instructions, prescribed routines, methods and practices, ability to manage multiple priorities, computer experience in related maintenance databases
