Electronics Technician

PURPOSE

Performs physical tasks in the shop, warehouse, or field [with exposure to inclement weather] in support of operations including, but not limited to: inspection, repairs, and maintenance of equipment, troubleshooting, interpretation of equipment manuals, and training/mentoring.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment; reviews equipment status with operational personnel and troubleshoots tool or surface equipment issues when required
• Maintains cased-hole wireline logging equipment consisting of downhole tools, surface panels, and computers; keeps service and maintenance records of equipment
• Troubleshoots circuit boards and components used in downhole tools and surface equipment
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals, circuit and mechanical drawings and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
• Performs mechanical maintenance of downhole tools and surface equipment
• Creates preventive maintenance schedule

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Associate's Degree, Degree Field(s): Electronics Technology or related discipline*
• Work Experience: 4-6 years Related Experience: Associate’s Degree or *equivalent relevant wireline technician experience or electronics technology experience
• Mechanical skills should include, but are not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Bachelor's Degree, Degree Field(s): Electronics Technology or related technical discipline
• Work Experience: 10+ years Related Experience: Completion of all current HSE certifications
• Expert knowledge and utilization of tools and equipment in cased-hole operations
