Electronics Technician

Responsibilities

• Uses electrician skills to diagnose and solve electrical problems in manufacturing equipment.
• Creates and assembles components, installing them as needed.
• Performs preventative maintenance and documents repairs.
• Interacts with other trades and work areas to complete tasks and provides technical expertise.
• Facilitates repair of electrical and electronic equipment, including induction heating.
• Edit program changes in automated machines using PLC logic.
• Maintain parts and materials inventory for electronic equipment.
• Formulate maintenance of computer programming.
• Calibrate eddy current inspection equipment and build coils for same.
• Ensure proper heat control on heat-treating furnaces.
• Check calibration of measuring devices on RMC.
• Contribute to continuous improvement culture.
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Maintain confidentiality of all matters.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent with Department of Labor Certification OR Associates degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar manufacturing role.
• Good oral and written communication skills, including following instructions.
• Good math and analytical skills.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs regularly.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
• The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
• The employee must be able to regularly bend, stoop, crawl, lay down, twist, and push.
• The employee is required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment including but not limited to shoes/boots, hard hats, or respirators.
