Responsibilities
- Uses electrician skills to diagnose and solve electrical problems in manufacturing equipment.
- Creates and assembles components, installing them as needed.
- Performs preventative maintenance and documents repairs.
- Interacts with other trades and work areas to complete tasks and provides technical expertise.
- Facilitates repair of electrical and electronic equipment, including induction heating.
- Edit program changes in automated machines using PLC logic.
- Maintain parts and materials inventory for electronic equipment.
- Formulate maintenance of computer programming.
- Calibrate eddy current inspection equipment and build coils for same.
- Ensure proper heat control on heat-treating furnaces.
- Check calibration of measuring devices on RMC.
- Contribute to continuous improvement culture.
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Maintain confidentiality of all matters.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent with Department of Labor Certification OR Associates degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar manufacturing role.
- Good oral and written communication skills, including following instructions.
- Good math and analytical skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs regularly.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
- The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee must be able to regularly bend, stoop, crawl, lay down, twist, and push.
- The employee is required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment including but not limited to shoes/boots, hard hats, or respirators.
