Electronics Technician
About the role
We are seeking an Electronics Technician to work in close partnership with our engineering team. This role involves prototyping engineering designs and conducting various tests, including weather and pressure testing. The technician will engage in technical simulations and collaborate closely with engineers to prototype units effectively.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newtown, PA, with a work shift from 7 AM to 3:30 PM in an engineering lab featuring electro-static flooring and pressure testing equipment to simulate space conditions. Lab attire is required.
The role involves working with flight test instrumentation, including recorders designed to work with acquisition products and various types of sensors, in both commercial and military applications.
Responsibilities
- Perform the set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
- Determine and develop test specifications, methods, and procedures from blueprints, drawings, and diagrams.
- Test and troubleshoot assemblies and/or final systems.
- Complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as needed based on testing results.
- Assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Technical/Trade School preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in a related field.
- Technician experience.
- Experience working closely with engineers in a digital environment.
- Ability to handle multiple opportunities and meet strict deadlines.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
