About the role

Join our fast-paced and passionate team as an Electronics Technician 4. This is a dynamic, hands-on position for a highly skilled technician who thrives in a fluid startup environment. You'll work closely with engineers and leadership, support development of cutting-edge technologies, and help establish best practices that enable our mission and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Work independently and collaborate with engineers, project leads, and teammates.
  • Mentor junior technicians as needed.
  • Execute complex technical tasks including test setup, data collection, troubleshooting, and documentation, following established processes and participating in peer reviews.
  • Apply tenacity, patience, and strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in test execution, data integrity, adherence to best practices, and clarity in documentation.
  • Continuously grow technical competency through curiosity, initiative, and collaboration with engineering staff.

Requirements

  • This position requires access to export-controlled information.
  • Employment is contingent upon the applicant being a U.S. person as defined by 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3).
  • Experience: Associate degree in electronics, engineering technology, or a related field; equivalent military or industry experience considered.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant hands-on electronics technician experience, ideally within a startup, R&D lab, or technology company.
  • Experience assembling, testing, and troubleshooting RF and mixed-signal circuits in the 200 MHz to 20 GHz range.
  • Experience with low-noise measurement techniques and sensitive analog circuitry.
  • Experience working with RF test equipment (VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters).
  • Familiarity with Altium Designer or similar tools for viewing schematics and PCB layouts is a plus.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of analog, mixed-signal, and RF hardware operation.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and engineering documentation.
  • Proficiency in setting up and executing test procedures, including calibration and data capture.
  • Knowledge of RF measurement techniques, impedance matching concepts, and best practices for high-frequency testing.
  • Skilled in diagnosing hardware failures and assisting engineers in root-cause analysis.
  • Comfortable maintaining BOMs, test logs, and build documentation with high accuracy. Ability to build high-quality, low-noise cabling for testing and for product builds.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support engineers in building, assembling, and validating electronic systems, subsystems, and prototypes.
  • Perform hands-on testing, measurement, and characterization of RF, analog, and mixed-signal circuits.
  • Document test setups, procedures, and results with clarity and precision.
  • Aid with schematic review, PCB layout review, and design verification activities.
  • Perform PCB rework, including soldering, component swaps, and hardware modifications.
  • Maintain lab equipment, ensure calibration schedules are met, and uphold safe lab practices.
  • Interface with PCB vendors and manufacturing partners to verify build quality and resolve issues.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts and contribute to root-cause analysis and corrective action development.
  • Prepare and execute test plans, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Mentor junior technicians and support cross-functional collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Benefits

  • The expected annual salary range for this position is $40/hour to $58/hour ($83,000 - $120,000).
