Electronics System Servicer 3rd Shift (onsite)

What You Will Do

  • Reads and interprets board layouts, schematics and BOMs
  • Tests faulty equipment and applies knowledge of functional operation of electronics to diagnose causes of the malfunction and repair
  • Adjusts, modifies and repairs electronic systems, works from sketches, layouts, and diagrams
  • Recommend changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance
  • Maintains electric and electronic test equipment
  • Checks functioning of newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions
  • Disassemble manual equipment and replace it with new or repaired parts
  • Uses hand tools, power tools, and simple machine tools to repair manufacturing equipment
  • Performs Preventative Maintenance on manufacturing equipment
  • Performs General Maintenance duties as needed
  • Performs system calibrations and recordings

Qualifications You Must Have

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years’ experience in a related field

Qualifications We Prefer

  • In compliance with the collective bargaining agreement, priority consideration is given to candidates who are INTERNAL (and recall) to the Pratt & Whitney IAM Bargaining Unit members of District Lodge 26 and Affiliated Locals 700 and 1746 (Connecticut Operations).
  • Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering or Completed 4-year Apprenticeship
  • 4+ years’ experience Aerospace/Manufacturing
  • 3+ years electronics/electrical trades experience, working on and servicing CNC machines
  • Licensed electrician E1/E2
