About the role

Electronics Specialist is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and technical support of process instrumentation and control systems throughout the manufacturing and testing of night vision products.

Responsibilities

  • Good mechanical and strong electrical aptitude, with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, particularly for a diverse and extensive amount of electronic control systems within the facility.
  • Knowledgeable of a wide array of industrial technologies, including electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, vacuum technology, and control systems.
  • Able to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and technical manuals.
  • PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting.
  • Industrial computer and various ISA/PCI bus troubleshooting and repair.
  • Troubleshoot to the component level for the full spectrum of analog, digital, RF, optical, and industrial control systems.
  • Make component-level repairs to address non-operational control systems.
  • Utilize test equipment (DVM, Oscilloscopes, Frequency Generator, computer-based, etc.) appropriate to testing objective.
  • Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting skills for manufacturing, product quality assurance, and facilities equipment systems.
  • Perform complete electrical and mechanical preventative maintenance services.
  • Monitor inventory of equipment spare parts; effectively locate replacement parts from a variety of web-based sources.
  • Experience using various hand and power tools, multi-meters, leak detectors, electronic or computerized test systems, etc.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or its equivalent in troubleshooting electronic equipment.
  • Thorough knowledge of electronic circuitry, schematics, troubleshooting, and safety practices.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

Qualifications

  • Experience with industrial automation, PLC programming, and temperature controls.
  • Two (2) years of industrial electronics background.
  • Proficiency in soldering.

Pay

The salary range listed for this position reflects the anticipated base pay range for this role. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, business needs, internal equity, and geographic location.
