Electronics Technician (2nd Shift)

About the role

Sets and maintains standards for the calibration, testing, and servicing of ACIT sensor products.

Responsibilities

  • Calibrates Capacitive and Inductive measurement systems
  • Performs final assembly and test of finished product
  • Performs troubleshooting of electronic circuit assemblies
  • Performs qualification testing and reports results
  • Maintains calibration records
  • Drives quality and efficiency improvements in calibration area
  • Troubleshoots and repairs product sent for service
  • Aids in final test and calibration or setup of sensor products
  • Assists in final test and calibration or setup of sensor products

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Electronics strongly preferred; equivalent industry experience in calibration and electronics may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Basic electronics knowledge of analog and digital circuitry
  • Understanding of electronic schematics
  • Operations of electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and waveform generators
  • Surface mount and through hole soldering
  • Familiarity with MS Office software

Supervisor Responsibilities

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

  • Stands and walks frequently
  • Lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds occasionally

Work Environment

  • Clean facility with potential hazards such as ergonomic, chemical, machine point of operation
  • Engineering controls such as machine guarding and administrative controls such as safety policies and programs
  • Personal Protective Equipment such as hearing protection, safety glasses, and hand protection required in certain areas

Salary Information

According to several states' laws, this position's salary range falls between $26 and $35 per hour. However, this salary information is merely a general guideline.
