Job Summary
Mckee Foods is seeking a skilled Electronic Maintenance Technician to join our Plant Engineering team. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electronic and electrical production equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The technician will also support preventive maintenance efforts, maintain compliance with safety and quality standards, and contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Strong background in mechanical and/or electrical systems.
- Proficiency with computers, including: CMMS systems (e.g., MAXIMO), Microsoft Office Suite, maintenance-specific applications (e.g., iWork), and work instructions.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and mathematical skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Customer service–oriented mindset with a commitment to teamwork.
- Willingness to obtain and maintain certification for powered industrial equipment.
- Self-motivated, innovative, and proactive in supporting team success.
- Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong attendance, safety, and compliance record (including company vehicle operation requirements).
- Commitment to ongoing learning and development through training, courses, or seminars (travel may be required).
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of industrial mechanical maintenance experience.
- At least 1 year of industrial electrical/electronics experience.
- Familiarity with the National Electric Code (NEC) and its applications.
- Ability to install conduit and determine proper circuit protection.
- Working knowledge of PLC technologies and basic networking principles.
- Experience with I/O server protocols, industrial robotics, and servo/motion control systems.
- Proficiency in maintenance software systems.
- Associate degree in Electrical/Electronics or an equivalent qualification, such as: Vocational/technical certification, Completion of the McKee Foods Electronics Training Program, Approved apprenticeship program, Engineering/technical degree from an accredited college, Understanding of HMI/Wonderware software development.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot control systems and equipment.
