About the role

The Electronics Technician position at 3form is responsible for diagnosing and repairing all manufacturing equipment in a glass factory. This includes installing, repairing, and maintaining electronic components and systems for manufacturing equipment. The role also involves sourcing replacement parts for electrical and mechanical systems, supporting operations teams, completing scheduled preventative maintenance and servicing of equipment, assisting other technicians as needed, and following written, verbal, and process instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Advanced troubleshooting of any down equipment
  • Installing, repairing, maintaining electronic components and systems for manufacturing equipment
  • Sourcing replacement parts for electrical and mechanical systems
  • Supporting operations teams to ensure timely completion of tasks in line with safety protocols
  • Completing scheduled preventative maintenance and servicing of equipment
  • Affixing to other technicians as assigned and needed
  • Following written, verbal and process instructions
  • Works with contractors to complete assigned tasks
  • Competent working with production machinery, HVAC systems, cranes, utility systems, air compressors, CNC machines, ovens

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience supporting maintenance in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in glass manufacturing (preferred)
  • Journeyman or Graduate in Electricity (preferred)
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

Physical Demands

  • Amount of Time Spent Performing Activities: Standing: Up to 2/3 of the shift, Walking: Up to 1/3 of the shift
  • Required Physical Strength And Movement: Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs frequently, Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, Must be able to assist with team lifting of loads exceeding 50 lbs occasionally, Must be able to stand for the entire length of the shift (up to 10 hours), Must be able to work in and around manufacturing and production equipment, Frequent climbing of ladders, bending, stooping, standing, walking, twisting, kneeling, and reaching, Must be able to see and hear to acknowledge critical safety instructions, alarms, forklift traffic, and perform quality and equipment inspections, Must be able to sustain repetitive movement of both upper and lower extremities with varying degrees of force, Must be able to push and pull up to 100 pounds of force regularly, including moving pallets, carts, glass/plastic sheets, and boxes using a hand truck or similar equipment
