Electronics and/or Automation Technician

Primary Responsibilities

• Repairs production and spare equipment when failure is of an electrical or electronic nature, which requires the ability to do minor soldering, alignment, grinding, disassembly and reassembly of both major, minor, large and small pieces of equipment.
• Helps troubleshoot equipment by observing equipment operation from an electronic perspective.
• Designs, fabricates, assembles and installs, parts, fixtures or entire assemblies as requested by Engineering or Department managers.
• Initiates necessary parts request form for required electronic supplies so repairs or installations can be completed.
• Inspects and calibrates various pieces of production equipment and requires documentation of drawings, layouts, time sheets, work orders and cost reduction or safety proposals.

Education Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent with two or more years of technical training or school within the field, or equivalent education and experience.

• Ability to use hand and power tools and operate all types of electronic troubleshooting equipment
