Automation Technician, Electronics
About the role
This position is for an IAS/ATG/OPS/GVS Electronics Technician. Working alone or in small teams, this individual will perform testing and maintenance functions on Automatic Tank Gauging Systems, Independent Alarm Systems, Overfill Protection Systems, and Ground Verification Systems at Department of Defense installations across, but not limited to, the following states; Colorado, Montana, Utah, & Wyoming.
Responsibilities
- Ensures proper operation of fuels accounting, alarm monitoring and controls, and leak detection equipment.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and install electronic components and electrical systems using hand tools and testing instruments.
- Keeps organized, detailed records of work performed.
- Coordinate travel to customer sites, maintain on-hand components and assigned safety equipment, and supply basic hand tools & testing equipment.
- Supply thorough communication with dispatchers, your manager, and installation teams to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly conveyed to the customer.
- Compile and reconcile travel charging on a weekly basis.
Requirements
- Ability to acquire and maintain U.S. government security clearance and/or Common Access Card (CAC).
- Ability to acquire and maintain corporate credit card.
- Ability to travel 100%.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- High school diploma or equivalent and formal electronics training from technical school, Class A or B military school, or completion of four-year electronics apprenticeship program.
- Four years of practical experience to include: electronics repair, integration, fielding, and checkout.
- Ability to acquire all required certifications to maintain the equipment located within specified region at the time of hire or relocation, to include all manufacture trainings and state-required UST certifications.
- Proven proficiency with Windows OS and M365 applications.
- To kneel, lift up to 50 pounds, work from heights of up to 50 feet, and operate safely within confined spaces.

Pay Information
This position is covered by a wage law called the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA). The wage range for this position is determined by the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor on a contract-by-contract basis.
