Electronic Technician Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervises technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic component systems, electronic recording, monitoring or measuring devices and other electronic equipment and devices.
• Performs the duties of a technician particularly in the more difficult and technical areas.
• Supervises the evaluation of electronic equipment performance and final inspection and adjustment of installation and special systems.
• Maintains technical records and reports of maintenance and repairs.
• Interprets blueprints and technical drawings for technicians.
• Inspects work of staff.

Requirements

• EDUCATION: High school graduate.
• EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Five years of technical experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic equipment.
• SUBSTITUTE EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Technical training in electronics or a related field will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
• SUBSTITUTE EXPERIENCE FOR EDUCATION: Additional technical experience will substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.

Work is typically performed in an office and/or electronic shop.

Probationary Period

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
