Electronic Technician/ACMI (G)
Job Description
This position, located at Eielson AFB, Alaska, applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Gathers information from users/computer operators and defines systemic problems
- Guides users in formulating requirements
- Advise alternative solutions
- Specifies number/types of records, files, & documents to be produced and/or stored
- Sets up, maintains, and runs Air Combat Training Systems including on-range and in-house networks as well as Integrated Combat Aircrew Debriefing Systems (ICADS) and other key infrastructure as required to include new and/or upgraded hardware & software
- Maintain compliance with BSEt Quality Control and Safety Programs
- May be required to support COMSEC mandates
- Other duties as assigned by the Program manager
Minimum Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in technical field or equivalent Vocational/Military training
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience or equivalent time towards degree
- BS in Computer Science highly desired
- IAT II (Security +, and must keep this certification current)
Additional Requirements
- US Citizen // Secret Clearance or ability to obtain is required
- Applicants must have a valid state driver’s license
- Ability to read, analyze, and apply knowledge of both electrical and mechanical schematics
