Electronic Security Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Security Project Manager to lead a team of Security technicians and subcontractors installing ACS, IDS, CCTV, intercom, and other low-voltage systems for clients in Northern Virginia. The Project Manager will coordinate and oversee multiple projects simultaneously with support from local engineering, sales, and technical staff. The ideal candidate will take ownership of assigned projects, ensuring robust communication with customers and the team to meet all stakeholder expectations.

Responsibilities

• Project Management experience in an electronic security system environment
• Lead and mentor a team of Senior/Lead Techs, Jr Techs, and subcontractors
• Oversee subcontractors and ensure work meets i2G systems and stakeholder expectations
• Strong communication skills with the i2G team, customers, and subcontractors
• Read and understand security system drawings, as well as electrical and civil drawing packages
• Manage integration engineers programming electronic security systems, including access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV systems
• Maintain project equipment inventory, red-line drawings, and quality control
• Assist with creating proposals as needed
• Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple projects and report job status, schedule updates, risk mitigation, changes, and material needs throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

• 5+ years of previous experience with electronic security systems (required)
• Previous project management experience in the electronic security systems field
• Working knowledge of Lenel, Verint, Axis, Commend, Fire systems, and/or DMP (a plus)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Proficient with scheduling software such as MS Project, SimPro, or Smartsheets
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be able to pass a background check

Qualifications

• Direct experience with Lenel, Axis, Software House, or Verint training certifications (highly desired but not required)
• Training and certifications in the above product lines and PMP certification (preferred)
