Electronic Security Project Manager

About the role

i2G specializes in advanced physical electronic security and life safety solutions, including surveillance, access control, intrusion detection systems, biometrics, fence sensors, radars, ground sensors, anti-drone technologies, and more. We excel in design, project management, commissioning, and enterprise technology integrations. As an Electronic Security Project Manager, you will lead a team of security technicians and subcontractors installing ACS, IDS, CCTV, intercom, and other low-voltage systems for clients in Phoenix, Arizona.

You will coordinate and oversee multiple projects simultaneously with support from local engineering, sales, and technical staff. The ideal candidate will take ownership of assigned projects, ensuring robust communication with customers and the team to meet all stakeholder expectations. You will oversee day-to-day operations, report job status, schedule updates, risk mitigation, changes, and material needs throughout the project lifecycle, and lead a team of senior/lead technicians, junior technicians, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of technicians and subcontractors
• Oversee subcontractors to ensure work meets i2G systems and stakeholder expectations
• Maintain strong communication within the i2G team, with customers, and subcontractors
• Read and interpret security system drawings, electrical, and civil drawing packages
• Manage integration engineers programming electronic security systems (access control, intrusion detection, CCTV, etc.)
• Maintain project equipment inventory, red-line drawings, and quality control
• Assist with creating proposals as needed
• Report job status, schedule updates, risk mitigation, changes, and material needs throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with electronic security systems (required)
• Project management experience in an electronic security system environment
• Ability to pass a background check
• Valid driver’s license
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), scheduling software (MS Project, SimPro, or Smartsheets), and Microsoft Windows
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with Lenel, Axis, Software House, or Verint systems
• Training certifications in Lenel, Axis, Software House, or Verint (highly desired)
• PMP certification
• Working knowledge of Lenel, Verint, Axis, Commend, fire systems, and/or DMP
