Electronic Equipment Specialist, 1st Class - 1st Shift

Responsibilities

• Assembles and/or wires complex electro-mechanical assemblies (cabinets, chassis, cables, & antennas etc.) utilizing drawings, wiring diagrams, flow diagrams, sketches or verbal instructions.
• Supports the installation/disassembly of complex systems, including equipment installation, cabling and repair of equipment in test.
• May adjust, repair or replace components or assemblies as required to assure compliance to all drawings and/or specifications.
• May touch up finishes and install marking as required.
• May determine cause of faulty mechanical fit and/or operation of assemblies and, utilizing hand tools and drill press, may make adjustments/repairs for proper fit and operation.
• May verify material accumulations when required.
• Receives general instructions from supervision, communicates material and process issues and generates problem sheets to resolve issues.
• Maintains production records, controlled drawings and associated paperwork, as required.

Please Note: This is for a 1st Shift position and US Citizenship is required due to facility requirements.

Requirements

• Experience assembling and/or wiring complex electro-mechanical assemblies (cabinets, chassis, cables, & antennas etc.) utilizing drawings, wiring diagrams, flow diagrams, sketches or verbal instructions.
• Technical school training and a high school diploma or GED is required.
• US citizenship is required due to facility requirements.

Desired Skills

• Experience working with complex equipment systems that require cabling and repair of equipment in test.
• Ability to adjust, repair, or replace components or assemblies.
• Experience utilizing hand tools, drills, and/or drill press for adjustments/repairs, including but not limited to hammers, heat gun, wrenches, chisel, sanders, torque tools, pneumatic tool, various hand tools, etc.
• Experience generating and/or maintaining problem reports, production records, and controlled drawings.
• Ability to perform work at a height in excess of 25 feet utilizing elevated work platforms and/or operation of overhead cranes/rigging.

Additional specific benefits are dependent upon the business unit and the collective-bargaining agreement.

Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.

For (Washington state applicants only) Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
