About the role

We are seeking an Electronic Classroom Technical Support Specialist to support a program onsite in Port Hueneme, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure student training infrastructure is functional and available
  • Ensure that Active Directory accounts are properly configured
  • Assist customers in overcoming challenges through monitoring and performance management
  • Identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network
  • Turn metrics into information and communicate their meaning
  • Manage users and computers in an enterprise network
  • Support multi-media systems and community of interest (COI) network operations
  • Perform local group policy management and file share, system, and account administration
  • Handle configuration and change management, as well as life cycle support
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot workstation and server hardware, including board replacement and cable switching
  • Conduct system monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Provide onsite service center support

Requirements

  • Must possess an Interim or active Secret clearance
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with electronic documentation, system administration, network administration, or database administration
  • Security+ certification or equivalent
  • Experience with connectivity, interoperability, operational readiness, and security and compliance systems maintenance
  • Experience with systems and hardware/software administration and integration
  • Experience with routine maintenance, including break/fix, backup and recovery, and inventory and asset management
  • Knowledge of system development, software maintenance, and ancillary functions
  • Knowledge of cyber defense compliance and accreditation services

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • Experience with multi-media systems support
  • Experience with local group policy management and file share, system, and account administration
  • Experience with configuration and change management and life cycle support
  • Experience with workstation and server hardware installation, maintenance, board replacement, and cable switching
  • Experience with system monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Ability to perform onsite service center support

Physical Requirements

  • Sit for extended periods and work at a computer workstation
  • Use hands and fingers to operate keyboards, mice, and other input devices
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Specific vision abilities required may include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Stand, walk, bend, or reach; access equipment located in data centers, offices, or under desks
  • Lift and/or move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds

Pay

$53,000 to $93,000 per year
