About the role
Join the Cape Girardeau Spartech Team as an Electromechanical Technician and support machine maintenance for a variety of customers. This position offers growth in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on safety and success.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical and mechanical systems, wiring, fixtures, and power equipment.
- Use testing devices and diagnostic tools to identify and locate faults in electrical and mechanical systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and perform preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems while adhering to safety standards and codes.
- Replace defective electrical components such as wiring, switches, and fuses.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals, and follow electrical codes and regulations.
- Utilize CMMS system for work orders, parts management, and documenting PM work and findings.
- Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and machinery.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a certified technical training program or apprenticeship in electrical maintenance.
- Valid electrician certification or license.
- Minimum 5 years of electrical technician experience in a manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems from 24VDC to 480VAC, including motors, PLCs, and power distribution.
- Proficient with electrical testing devices, hand tools, and power tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve electrical issues.
- Thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other safety protocols.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with supervisors and colleagues.
- Ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work a shift schedule as assigned.
- Ability to pass a Spartech-administered Electrical Technician test to demonstrate required competence.
