Troubleshooting and Repair

  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial production equipment, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
  • Diagnose equipment failures using electrical schematics, technical manuals, PLC diagnostics, and testing equipment.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems, sensors, motors, VFDs, and industrial controls.
  • Install, maintain, and replace electrical components including: 3-phase motors, VFDs, motor starters, power supplies, relays and contactors, proximity sensors, and photo eyes.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and OEM documentation.
  • Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Maintain conveyor systems, packaging equipment, and automated production machinery.

Maintenance and Documentation

  • Complete work orders and maintenance documentation through the CMMS system.

Coordination and Communication

  • Coordinate repairs with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
  • Communicate with equipment manufacturers and vendors as needed for technical support.

Compliance and Safety

  • Follow all OSHA, food safety, GMP, and company safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to measure size and dimension by means of calipers and to interpret bar graphs.
  • Proficient in electrical installations, maintenance and repair in all settings.
  • Must be able to operate industrial forklifts, equipment or tools.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of Electro-Mechanical Maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting experience with: PLC-controlled equipment, industrial electrical systems, pneumatics and hydraulics, motors and motor controls, VFDs and industrial automation.
  • Experience working with 24VDC, 120V, 240V, and 480V electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Experience using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters and diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, RSLogix, or Studio 5000.
  • Food manufacturing, bakery, packaging, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with CMMS systems.
  • Associate's degree or technical certification in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.
