Electrocardiology Tech II

About the role

Responsible for the performance and processing of electrocardiographic procedures. Coordinates the workflow of reports. Performs general office duties. Logs and compiles data used for departmental statistics and quality improvement. Provides support for other departments who perform ECG procedures. Performs basic interrogation as per protocol of implanted devices such as pacemakers, implantable defibrillators and implanted loop recorders per written order from a physician.

• Provide support to other departments performing ECG procedures
• Perform basic interrogation of implanted devices (pacemakers, defibrillators, loop recorders) per physician order

Requirements

• CPR certification within ninety (90) days of date of hire

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Typing skills of thirty (30) words per minute (WPM)
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to use commonly used computer applications
• Professional attitude and expert interpersonal skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and shift priorities

Schedule

Third shift: 8 pm–6:30 am, four ten‑hour shifts per week, with weekend coverage.
