Electrocardiograph Technician - Weekends

About the role

Aurora Medical Center is seeking a part-time Cardiography Technician to join our team. This position is eligible for benefits and operates on a 0.6 FTE schedule, working 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic tests including electrocardiograms, Holter monitors, and other cardiac monitoring systems.
• Ensures accurate documentation in electronic medical records and equipment.
• Screens patient calls, interviews patients, and follows critical test values.
• Communicates with medical staff regarding uncertain rhythms or critical test values.
• Processes medical information, edits, bills, files, and copies.
• Provides basic education on cardiac testing and ensures follow-up with medical staff.
• Performs patient positioning and transporting duties, including lifting and pushing/pulling.
• Performs calibration and troubleshooting procedures on ECG and stress equipment.

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification within 6 months of hire.
• Completion of an approved basic ECG interpretation course within one year of hire.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly change priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills to work effectively with physicians, patients, and other staff members.
• Basic computer skills.

Pay

$20.80 - $31.20 per hour.

Schedule

Part time, 0.6 FTE, 24 hours per week, Saturday & Sunday's, 6am - 6:30pm, no call.
