About the role

The Opportunity: As an electrical engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to designing and integrating radar systems. We’re looking for an electrical engineer who can use their skills to manage the acquisition Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process in support of Electro-optic Infrared (EO/IR) systems.

Responsibilities

  • Transform Mission Systems requirements to improve EO/IR performance of a variety of platforms.
  • Work with OEMs to improve performance and integrate advanced technologies into existing platforms.
  • Auxiliary in augmenting designs and algorithms to better system performance.
  • Assist in understanding the current challenges and working with OEMs to develop and integrate upgrades to improve the warfighters' competitive edge.

Requirements

  • Experience in EO/IR systems
  • Knowledge of systems integration challenges
  • Ability to work with a team of engineers to modify designs and improve system integrations to improve warfighter capabilities

Qualifications

  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or scientific field

Skills

  • Nice if you have: Experience with modern Navy EO/IR systems
  • Experience with the SETR process
  • Knowledge of contracting mechanisms and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) reporting
  • Knowledge of system targeting algorithms and test techniques
  • Ability to analyze EO/IR designs and provide technical inputs to improve performance and integration ease

  • Compensation range: $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD)

Pay

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

Schedule

Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
