About the role

As an electrical engineer, you will utilize your expertise in complex systems to manage the acquisition Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process for Electro-optic Infrared (EO/IR) systems. This role involves transforming Mission Systems requirements to improve EO/IR performance on various platforms. You will work with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to enhance performance and integrate advanced technologies, ultimately improving the competitive edge of mission capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the acquisition Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process in support of EO/IR systems.
  • Work with existing teams to understand current challenges and develop integration upgrades.
  • Collaborate with OEMs to improve performance and integrate advanced technologies into existing platforms.
  • Assist in augmenting designs and algorithms to enhance system performance.
  • Analyze EO/IR designs and provide technical inputs to improve performance and integration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or scientific field.
  • Experience in EO/IR systems and knowledge of systems integration challenges.
  • Ability to work with a team of engineers to modify designs and improve system integrations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with modern Navy EO/IR systems.
  • Experience with the SETR process.
  • Knowledge of contracting mechanisms and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) reporting.
  • Knowledge of system targeting algorithms and test techniques.
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
