About the role

The Mechatronics Technician is responsible for the completion of on-site support, maintenance, refurbishment, and installation of electromechanical equipment at customer locations. Technicians are responsible for inspecting existing equipment, providing feedback to the customer regarding the system’s condition, and developing a recommended action plan for proper maintenance. Technicians also refurbish, repair, and test existing electromechanical machinery, as well as install new equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Approach all tasks and situations with a Safety First mindset
  • Participate in a broad array of electrical and mechanical tasks with minimal supervision
  • Aid in the installation of new or refurbishment of existing system components
  • Perform electrical and mechanical inspections and generate reports based on findings and manufacturer requirements

Requirements

  • High school diploma with 1-2 years experience in relevant electrical and/or mechanical role
  • Prioritize safety in all tasks
  • Strong electrical skills (3-Phase, 480V, DC and 24V controls)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • General knowledge with electrics/mechanics in drive technology (motors/gears)
  • Familiarity with control technology (PLC /controls/inverters)
  • Knowledge of wiring diagrams and electrical measuring
  • Comfort working with a variety of computer systems (Microsoft Office Suite, proprietary system monitoring programs, etc.)
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in industrial technology or related field with 2-4 years experience in relevant electrical and/mechanical role
  • Experience maintaining material handling systems in a light industry or distribution center environment strongly preferred

Pay

Salary Range: $60k-$70k

Schedule

Must be able to work all shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

  • Continuous walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and standing
  • Working at heights of up to 80-100 feet wearing fall-arrest gear and other PPE
  • Lifting, pulling and pushing up to 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Working in ambient, fresh (34°F), and frozen (-15°F) conditions
