This Electro-Mechanical Technician role supports routine maintenance in a highly automated environment at our Richmond, VA (Plant 2) location. The multi-craft position involves troubleshooting mechanical, electronic, and electrical industrial equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assist other Technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics) and diagnostic tools (e.g., multi-meter, laptop).
- Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, electronic systems, control components, and industrial machines/tools/production/utility equipment.
- Diagnose, repair, and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components (e.g., seals, gaskets, bearings on motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors).
- Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical/electronic problems, including PLCs, external I/O devices, and networked equipment where issues are not immediately visible.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Enrolled in or completed Trade/Technical School certification.
- 3+ years of mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience.
- 3+ years of electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completed Trade/Technical School certification.
- 5+ years of mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience.
- 5+ years of electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
- Experience with robotics, controls troubleshooting, and networking.
