Electro Mechanical Technician 3 - 1st Shift

About the role

Alliance Laundry Systems is seeking an Electro Mechanical Technician for 1st shift. This is a stable, fast-paced manufacturing role with a team-oriented environment. Standard work hours are Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Design minor electrical circuits and test/troubleshoot electrical, PLC, and electronic circuits used for the control of machines and equipment
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic circuits
• Install electrical and electronic controls on machines and equipment by reading and interpreting schematics or blueprints
• Maintain knowledge of electrical power and water distribution systems
• Perform basic mechanical repairs
• Perform the work of lower-class identifications and may direct the work of others in lower classifications
• Dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts such as brushes and armatures
• Install and monitor performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement
• Interpret blueprints, work from sketches or verbal instructions
• Do layouts, assemble, install, test, repair, and adjust electrical fixtures, apparatus, equipment, wiring, and new services to include panels, breakers, and conduit
• Mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and complete circuits according to diagram specifications
• Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits and equipment using appropriate tools and testing instruments
• Perform a variety of work as directed by the Group Leader

Qualifications

• Two-year Associate degree and 5+ years' work experience
• Ability to utilize a computer to search for parts and enter work into a CMMS
• Experience in designing minor electrical circuits and testing/troubleshooting electrical, PLC, and electronic circuits used for the control of machines and equipment
• Experience in troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic circuits
• Ability to install electrical and electronic controls on machines and equipment by reading and interpreting schematics or blueprints
• Knowledge of electrical power and water distribution systems
• Ability to perform basic mechanical repairs
• Ability to interpret blueprints and work from sketches or verbal instructions

Physical requirements

• Standing for long periods, sitting, manual dexterity, stooping, bending
• Passing a pre-employment physical including a baseline test of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds
• Passing a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Pay

• Hourly Rate: $41.41 to $44.20, commensurate with experience and qualifications
• Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 upon successful hiring
• Shift Differential: $3.25 an hour

1st shift, Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
