Electro-Mechanical Technician 2nd Shift ($7,250 Bonus)

About the role

You and your teammates will be responsible for all production and industrial refrigeration equipment, as well as our electrical controls systems at Meadowside. You’ll work closely with engineers and production members to upgrade production machinery as we innovate and grow the business. This position applies Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) techniques to help Johnsonville become the "Best Company in the World."

Responsibilities

• Apply RCM techniques to improve the performance of a variety of production equipment
• Perform maintenance of utility equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems on various production and utility equipment and apply RCA techniques to improve and eliminate future problems
• Work on projects including machining, fabrication, capital projects, and working with outside vendors
• Gather information to create technical equipment data for development of preventative maintenance information for SAP
• Assist with new equipment installation and/or equipment relocation
• Maintain facilities and equipment to meet Meadowside, OSHA, and U.S.D.A. standards
• Implement ideas to improve uptime of plant equipment through equipment modifications, layout adjustments, and general machine maintenance
• Perform preventive maintenance of all plant equipment
• Maintain all utility areas in a neat and orderly fashion

Requirements

• Industrial maintenance experience is preferred
• Basic electrical experience/understanding is required (PLCs are a plus)
• Willingness to learn is essential
• Experience in ammonia refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, and steam generation (boiler) is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
• Basic computer skills
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Based on business necessity, must be proficient in English
• Ability to pass a pre-employment, post-offer drug screen, physical, and background check

Pay

Pay range: $34.43/hr - $44.62/hr plus a $1.50 shift premium. Bonus: $7,250.

Schedule

1:00pm – 9:30pm, Monday-Friday (Overtime as production demands).
