Job Summary
Perform emergency unscheduled, scheduled corrective and preventative maintenance on equipment and infrastructure at Marley Engineered Products site.
Principle Duties And Responsibilities
- Serves as the primary resource for the maintenance team for process/machine control issues.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, identify the root cause, and return the equipment to safe, efficient operating conditions.
- Perform scheduled corrective maintenance.
- Perform preventative maintenance on schedule per assigned task instructions on equipment and systems.
- Identify improvement opportunities and work with the Maintenance Leader and Manufacturing Engineers to develop and implement a solution.
- Maintain industrial electrical systems, including wire 480V 3PH equipment, troubleshoot electric circuits & controls, replace or install electric components (i.e., sensors, switches).
- Responsible for safe work habits, housekeeping of assigned work areas, and quality of work.
- Record work performed, parts used, and time required in the Maintenance Management System.
Physical Requirements
- Capable of lifting 50 Lbs. and 20 Lbs. overhead.
- Bending, squatting, stooping, twisting, turning, reaching.
- Climb ladders operate man lifts and scissor lifts.
- Able to wear a safety harness when required to perform elevated work duties.
- Work in elevated temperatures >90°F and cold temperatures.
Education And Experience
- Associate degree (AAS) or an equivalent from two-year College or technical school in a technical field or equivalent combination of education, technical or military experience.
- 3 to 5 years industrial maintenance.
- Must be able to work 2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday 4pm – 2:30am (10-hour shift) and Friday 2pm-10:30 pm (8-hour shift) when needed.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must have a working knowledge of electrical and electro-mechanical/hydraulic systems.
- Strong PLC and computer-based system experience.
- Experience with industrial electricity 480V Voltage Control voltage.
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance-related drawings (electrical/mechanical), schematics, and sketches.
- Must have strong computer skills using Windows-based environments, email, and the internet.
- Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment with skills in electrical systems, equipment, and building infrastructure.
- Mechanical overhaul experience on flywheel-driven equipment, hydraulic press equipment, and gearboxes.
- Experience and training in LOTO, Hot Work, Confined Space, Forklift, Overhead Crane & Rigging.
- General working knowledge of pneumatics and cylinders.
