Electro Mechanical Technician 2 - 1st Shift - $5k Sign On Bonus

About the role

1st Shift Electro Mechanical Technician. Standard Work Hours: 1st Shift, Monday through Thursday, 5am–3pm.

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $37.28 to $41.56, commensurate with experience and qualifications
• Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 upon successful hiring
• Annual wage increases

Responsibilities

• Design minor electrical circuits and test and troubleshoot electrical, PLC, and electronic circuits used for the control of machines and equipment.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
• Install electrical and electronic controls on machines and equipment by reading and interpreting schematics or blueprints.
• Apply knowledge of electrical power and water distribution systems.
• Perform basic mechanical repairs.
• Perform the work of the lower-class identifications.
• May direct the work of others in the lower classifications.
• Dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts such as brushes and armatures.
• Install and monitor performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement.
• Interpret blueprints; work from sketches or verbal instructions.
• Do layouts, assemble, install, test, repair, and adjust electrical fixtures, apparatus, equipment, wiring, and new services to include panels, breakers, and conduit.
• Mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and complete circuits according to diagram specifications.
• Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits and equipment using appropriate tools and testing instruments.
• Perform a variety of work as directed by the Group Leader.

Requirements

• Two-year Associate degree and 2–4 years of work experience required.
• Ability to utilize a computer to search for parts and enter work into a CMMS.
• Standing for long periods, sitting, manual dexterity, stooping, and bending.
• Passing a pre-employment physical, including a baseline test of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Passing a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
