Electro-Mechanical Specialist - 3rd Shift
About the role
We are seeking an Electro-Mechanic Technician to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will be accountable for maintaining all plant and production electrical and control systems—including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and network sub-systems—while ensuring production schedules are met and equipment reliability is optimized.
Shift & Schedule
Shift: 3rd
Hours: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM (Tues - Sat; Sunday and Monday off)
Weekend Availability: Required
Compensation: Hourly Rate: $40–$41 ($1.50/hour shift differential)
Core Accountabilities
- Maintain and update documentation for all electrical and control systems, including hardware and software.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and control-related failures to minimize downtime.
- Train and coordinate activities of Electro-Mechanics across shifts to ensure consistent maintenance practices.
- Perform preventive, scheduled, and corrective repairs on production equipment and control systems.
- Maintain secondary plant systems such as steam, water, air, refrigeration, HVAC, and emissions control.
- Ensure compliance with safety, GMP, and regulatory standards during all maintenance activities.
- Document maintenance work accurately in accordance with work orders and company procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent; AS/AAS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred.
- Practical experience in machine and electrical control system installation and maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and control system documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to work safely during production and downtime periods.
- Basic math and measurement conversion skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi software.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance software and control system programming.
- Familiarity with P&ID, electrical single-line diagrams, and instrument loop drawings.
- Advanced troubleshooting and configuration skills for AC/DC and servo drives.
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing or industrial environment.
