Electro Mechanic

About the role

Ardagh Group is looking for highly motivated qualified mechanics to join our high-speed manufacturing operations. This is a fast-paced, high-volume 24/7 manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a safety environment with good housekeeping that constantly drives awareness and always strives for zero accidents.
• Demonstrate good housekeeping skills.
• Work directly with production equipment such as conveyors, sprays, ovens, and printers.
• Understand the importance of proper and timely maintenance of machinery and equipment.
• Set up, adjust, maintain, and operate various support equipment.
• Take primary responsibility for production and quality on assigned equipment.
• Analyze all types of mechanical or operational issues and make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
• Constantly check machines and remain vigilant during daily operation.
• Conduct analysis by plant/item/shop as needed to focus improvement efforts.
• Communicate the quality vision and expectations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of manufacturing industrial experience; glass industry experience is a plus.
• Achievement of a 70% score on the Mechanical Comprehension Test is required.
• Exposed to moderate to high noise levels.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Rotating swing shift work required.
• Strong analytical skills combined with a commonsense approach and good communication skills.

Pay

The starting pay rate for this role is $41.25 per hour. Any future increases are dictated by the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
