About the Role

The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution—from strategic capital investments, industrial operations, and an efficient supply chain, to state-of-the-art manufacturing and test operations and top-notch facilities management.

This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of building and equipment maintenance work and supplementary work on electrical systems, including receptacles, switches, lighting, motors, panelboards, switchgear, transformers, fire alarm panels, security systems, building automation systems, etc.
  • Maintain training and certification on company clean room procedures, hazardous waste, confined space, fall protection, forklift, crane, aerial lifts, lockout/tagout, and others.
  • Operate company owned vehicles as required.
  • Maintain valid driver’s license and good motor vehicle record.
  • Maintain, repair, and install a variety of machines and equipment.
  • Prepare cost estimates.
  • Schedule and monitor subcontractors.
  • Provide basic construction management and project management of maintenance related jobs.
  • Review and process invoices.
  • Work independently with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain required documentation in accordance with BAE Systems policies and government regulations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on Standby Power Systems, including ATS Switches, UPS Systems, and Standby Generators.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units, and the Company.
  • Interact appropriately with others to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent plus 2 years or more related experience. Each higher-level related degree (e.g., Bachelor’s or Master’s) may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from an accredited institution recognized by the US Secretary of Education or US Department of Education.
  • Willingness and eligibility for security clearance or access with Polygraph submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted.
  • Valid US driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle record review (required for operating company vehicles).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Colorado State Journeyman Electrician License.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $57,319 – $91,710. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
