Basic Qualifications

  • US Citizenship is required for this role.
  • Knowledge and experience working with commercial voltages, energized circuits, drawings, diagrams, and applicable codes.
  • Knowledge and experience inspecting and maintaining HVAC systems.
  • Possess the ability to safely use tools, equipment, electrical PPE, ladders and elevated platforms within facilities operations and be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management (CMMS) systems and building automation (BAS) & controls systems.
  • Familiarity with all types of hand tools, multi-meters, metal fasteners, valves & piping with a strong electrical aptitude.
  • Must be available to work 1st shift for the following hours: 6:30am to 2:30pm. 8-hour shift. 10 days on, 4 days off. Starting Wednesday. Workdays will include every other weekend.

Job Description

Lockheed Martin is seeking an electrical maintenance specialist who wants to be part of a facilities team operating in a data center environment with 24/7 coverage 365 days a year. This role will support the center on first shift and require weekend and holiday work hours as part of the normal work rotation.

This role will operate, monitor, and maintain the data center's electrical infrastructure to include low and medium voltage switchgear, transformer substations, motor control centers, UPS systems, emergency generators, and distribution panels.

This role will inspect and maintain electrical systems and accessories on cooling towers, chillers, air handling units, exhaust fans, pumps, hot water heaters, motors, controls, and other plant equipment.

This role will perform preventative, reactive, and corrective maintenance, including troubleshooting and testing systems.

This role will respond to customer requests and operate with a continuous improvement mindset.

This role will coordinate and work with contractors to provide site-specific information and equipment records during routine maintenance and for troubleshooting systems.

This role will apply knowledge of related safe work practices, OSHA regulations, and procedures.

This role will provide team coverage for each other and the opportunity may exist for some overtime work hours.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and maintain electrical systems and accessories on cooling towers, chillers, air handling units, exhaust fans, pumps, hot water heaters, motors, controls, and other plant equipment.
  • Perform preventative, reactive, and corrective maintenance, including troubleshooting and testing systems.

  • Cookordinate and work with contractors to provide site-specific information and equipment records during routine maintenance and for troubleshooting systems.

Desired Skills

  • State licensed electrician journeyman.
  • Experience With Primary Voltage, UPS Systems, And Backup Generators.
  • Experience with Data Center operations.
  • Familiarity with predictive/RCM technologies.
  • Experience working with HVAC systems including troubleshooting and repairs on DX and central plant / chilled water systems.
  • Experience working with PLCs.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel).
