Electrician (Maintenance)

About the role

Journeyperson Electrician DMMI Maintenance is seeking an experienced electrician to join our team. This position requires a high school diploma or GED, a Machine Repair or Electrician Journeyperson certification, or 5 years of equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Familiarization with safety hazards unique to the position
• Ability to go online and perform tasks such as troubleshooting, uploading, downloading, creating backups, and searching programs related to HMI/PLC, Servos, Robots, Vision Systems, Core Assembly, Furnace, and Press operations
• Basic knowledge and skills in programming, editing, and component replacement for various systems including vision inspection systems, core assembly machines, furnace temperature controllers, robots, and press hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Understanding and ability to operate and maintain equipment such as vision inspection systems, core assembly machines, furnace temperature controllers, robots, and press hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Ability to interpret pressures and vacuum levels, shut down and start up machinery, and perform maintenance tasks like replacing and programming temperature controllers, troubleshooting heater circuits, and operating Modutrol motors and Igniter controls
• Knowledge of thermocouples diagnosis, vacuum operation, and Modutrol motor operation

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Machine Repair or Electrician Journeyperson certification
• 5 years of equivalent Machine Repair or Electrician experience

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of safety protocols
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on various industrial equipment
• Proficiency in using software and hardware associated with the above-mentioned systems
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
