About the role

This position serves as an engineer technician for electrical systems equipment supporting garrison and training operations for the Marine Forces Special Operations Command (MARFORSOC). The contractor will diagnose and repair electric motors, electronic modules, motor control circuits, electric power generation equipment, Material Handling Equipment (MHE), and small engines (gas and diesel variants) used in power generation and engineer support. Responsibilities include reading, deciphering, and assisting with the creation of base camp cantonment plans and interior wiring blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Use Automated Information Systems (AIS) such as GCSS-MC, SSAVIE, and TCPT to conduct maintenance, apply modifications, and dispatch equipment in accordance with policies, directives, and procedures.
• Provide advice, guidance, and assistance to commodity managers and assist in training associated personnel.
• Read schematic diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent and four (4) to six (6) years of relevant, progressive experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Active Secret Security Clearance required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen; dual citizenship may require relinquishing foreign citizenship to obtain security clearance.

Essential Functions

• Work inside a large facility with assignments varying based on client requirements.
• May require night and weekend work, as well as some travel based on client needs.
• Physical tasks may include sitting or standing for extended periods, using a phone or PC/laptop, filing, and lifting/carrying equipment or supplies up to 50 lbs.
• Must have sufficient mobility for bending, reaching, turning, and kneeling to complete daily duties efficiently.
• Use general mechanic equipment, including tools, pneumatic tools, hydraulic lifts, and other work-related tools.
• Must work at least 8 hours per day, 5 days per week (Monday through Friday), with flexibility for surge situations based on mission requirements.
• Exhibit professional behavior promoting teamwork, cooperation, and productivity in a high-pressure environment.
• Communicate verbally and in writing effectively with government, military, and contractor personnel at all levels.
• Grooming and dress standards are typically business casual but may vary based on client requirements.

Pay

$52,416 per year. The compensation range is a good-faith estimate and may vary based on job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, and applicable laws or agreements.
