Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, and equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices and diagnostic tools.
- Maintain and service critical systems such as emergency generators, transfer switches, UPS systems, fire alarm systems, and nurse call systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance per facility schedules and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA, NEC, Joint Commission, and local/state codes.
- Respond to urgent and emergency service calls, including after-hours/on-call as scheduled.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Clock in with hospital leadership for electrical shutdowns.
- Maintain accurate documentation in CMMS systems (e.g., Corrigo, WorxHub).
- Support inspections, surveys, and regulatory readiness.
- Aid in general maintenance duties and cross-trade support.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician License.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of commercial or industrial electrical experience.
- Knowledge of NEC codes and healthcare standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hospital or healthcare facility maintenance experience.
- Experience with emergency power systems and life safety systems.
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms such as Corrigo or Brightly WorxHub.
- Experience with building automation systems.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and mechanical rooms.
- Exposure to electrical hazards and varying temperatures.
Work Environment
- Hospital and healthcare facilities including patient care areas.
- Must follow safety protocols, infection control procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Participation in on-call rotation may be required.
