What a Day in the Life of an Electrician at REV Looks Like
- Assemble under-dash harnesses, switch panels, circuit boards, and a variety of different electrical components
- Program the lights from engineering specs
- Troubleshoot 12V DC and 110V AC circuitry
- Test products to ensure performance to specifications
- Read specs to make sure the trucks are built per spec
- Perform functionality checks on airhorns, sirens, light packages, flash patterns, door locks
- Etc.
Required Education, Skills, And Experience
- To Be Successful: Preferred 1-2 years of automotive electrical experience in a manufacturing environment
- PREFERRED: High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and layouts with written and verbal instructions
- Ability to understand both 12V DC and 110V AC circuitry
- Ability to read and use a tape measure for precise measurements
- Ability to use common hand tools and power tools such as drills, and screw guns
- Ability to read, write, and perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performance
- Ability to communicate professionally and follow directions
- Ability to work in a team environment
Physical Demands
- Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and climbing up and down ladders and scaffolding
- Ability to regularly lift and move 40 lbs. without assistance
- Ability to work with arms above head
- Ability to operate and understand the operation of all protective safety equipment in the area
- Ability to work in non-temperature-controlled environments
