Electrician I (#011388) Wateree River Correctional Institution, Rembert (SUMTER) Level 2

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, schedule and perform maintenance and preventive maintenance on all electronic systems.
• To include the fire alarms, fence security, PA, CCTV, electric locking and other systems relating to the electronic trade throughout SCDC facilities and institutions.
• Requires extensive knowledge of electronic systems and equipment.
• Must be able to assist other trades as needed.
• Position involves 24-hours emergency on-call responsibility.

Requirements

• A high school diploma and experience in the construction or repair of secondary electrical systems.
• Relevant experience may be substituted for the required diploma on a year-for-year basis.
• A high school diploma and experience in the construction or repair of secondary electrical systems.
• Must be able to supervise, direct, instruct, and work with other people.

Qualifications

Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

Skills

Extensive knowledge of electronic systems and equipment.
