About the role
The Facilities Management and Capital Planning department manages and maintains 62 state-owned courthouses and 42 leased facilities across ten counties in the Commonwealth. The department ensures effective property management, facility operations, and quality customer service to support the administration of justice.
Responsibilities
Installs, repairs, alters, maintains, and tests HVAC and electrical systems.
Troubleshoots and performs preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery.
Schedules and escorts contractors.
Works cooperatively with Facilities Systems personnel on electrical and HVAC systems.
Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalency.
Four (4) years of related work experience, including apprenticeship towards a state license.
Journeyman electrician’s license for Electrician.
Refrigeration license for HVAC.
EPA 608/CFC certification.
Qualifications
Knowledge of state and local electrical codes.
Knowledge of HVAC systems and building structures.
Ability to maintain accurate records and follow oral and written instructions.
Use of hand and power tools.
Skills
Verbal and written communication.

Benefits
Employees may progress through the salary band based on the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement with O.P.E.I.U., Local 6. The position is considered essential personnel in certain emergencies and may require working outside of regular hours.
Pay
$68,037.06 starting pay, with a maximum range of $100,275.76/yr.
Schedule
Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2pm.
