About the Role
Collis, LLC, a subsidiary of SSW Advanced Technologies, LLC, is a growing multinational supplier to global appliance OEMs. With over 70 years of expertise, we design and sell components and systems for residential appliances (refrigeration, cooking, laundry), commercial refrigeration, HVAC, retail display, and home/office organizational markets.
Responsibilities
- Perform all duties in a safe manner.
- Interact professionally with employees and customers.
- Work overtime as necessary.
- Install, replace, repair, and maintain electrical systems throughout plants, equipment, and machinery.
- Attend meetings as directed and take ownership of assigned tasks.
- Support Maintenance and Operations with troubleshooting of key systems, including power distribution and general-purpose industrial controls.
- Troubleshoot and repair various robots (primarily Fanuc) and electromechanical systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks per PM software or as assigned.
- Create work orders within the PM software.
- Apply knowledge of NEC, NFPA, NESC, and ISA standards.
- Maintain detailed project files and equipment documentation in an organized manner.
- Work from verbal instructions, sketches, diagrams, or blueprints in compliance with electrical building codes.
- Determine proper layout of water, air, and gas lines for electrical system installations/repairs.
- Perform daily system checks (boiler, air compressors, chemical treatment, water softening equipment).
- Set up and operate maintenance equipment for repairs, including motors, relays, control boxes, welding, powder coating equipment, and plant lighting.
- Track daily activities in maintenance software.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Look up parts and place requisitions for orders.
- Perform minor mechanical repairs to facilitate electrical repairs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2 years of hands-on electrical experience required.
- 1 year of proven success as an Industrial Electrician or equivalent technical training.
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities across the board.
- Valid forklift certification or ability to acquire one.
- Valid blueprint certification or ability to acquire one.
- Ability to follow directions accurately.
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
- Physical ability to stand, lift, carry, reach, and work in non-climate-controlled areas for long periods.
- Able to travel to other divisions when required.
- Detailed and hands-on oriented.
Working Conditions

- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), computer, SSW machinery, and forklift.
