About the role

The Electrical Apprentice assists skilled electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and facilities. Working under the direct supervision of a licensed electrician, this role provides hands-on experience while supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality electrical work in Pojoaque, NM.

Responsibilities

• Assists with installing and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, equipment, and systems.
• Measures, cuts, bends, and installs conduit and assists with wire pulls and terminations.
• Uses testing equipment to troubleshoot electrical issues and identify potential problems.
• Tests electrical equipment for safe and efficient operation.
• Follows applicable electrical codes, project requirements, and company safety procedures.
• Assists with material handling and maintains organized tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly jobsite and storage area.
• Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• 0 years of experience.
• Must complete 2,000 hours of on-the-job training each year of apprenticeship.
• Must enroll and attend the apprenticeship school and maintain a minimum passing grade of 70.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required (20% - 40%).
• An appropriate and valid driver's license is required.

Skills

• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Basic writing, reading, and mathematics skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Proficiency with power tools, saws, drills, threaders, wire taggers, hydraulic benders, knockout punches, two-handed tools/equipment, cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, and jackhammers.

Pay

Pay range: $19.93 – $30.88 USD per hour. Compensation is determined by role, function, relevant experience, skills, certifications, education/training, and geographic location. Bonuses are discretionary and may apply.
