Electrician A
This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.
About the role
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems and equipment up to 480V and 4160V, including VFDs. Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure safe and reliable operation. Collaborate with operators, engineers, and contractors to resolve system issues and support project installations. Maintain accurate logs of repairs, calibrations, and performance issues. Ensure compliance with the National Electric Code and Cargill safety standards.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be able to read/write English
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
- Math skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces or extreme temperatures
- Experience with electrical maintenance, including reading blueprints and schematics
- Willingness to work overtime, holidays, nights, weekends, and different shifts
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with electrical maintenance, including reading blueprints and schematics
Preferred
- Experience wiring and programming Allen Bradley PLCs
- Familiarity with electrical test equipment for diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of the National Electric Code and industrial electrical standards
- State of Nebraska Apprentice, Journeyman, or higher electrical license (or equivalent)
- Associate degree in electromechanical or electrical systems, or equivalent training
