Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of electrical repair, maintenance, and construction work using schematics, drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Install, maintain, and repair plant electrical equipment, including:
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions using testing and measuring instruments.
    • Install conduit, wire, electrical components, and related equipment in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Assist in training Electrician B employees.
  • Perform electrical modifications and support new equipment installations.
  • Assist with mechanical repairs when necessary to restore production equipment operation.
  • Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance activities on electrical systems.
  • Work closely with production and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, OSHA regulations, and electrical safety requirements.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical diploma, associate degree in Electrical Technology, or completion of an approved apprenticeship program preferred.
  • 3 years of industrial, manufacturing, commercial, or maintenance electrical experience preferred.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical control systems, motors, PLCs, and industrial equipment is highly desirable.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of electrical theory and industrial electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of conduit installation, wire sizing, splicing, and electrical code requirements.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and electronic control systems.
  • Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment and automated manufacturing processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work at heights and around energized equipment while following established safety procedures.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and off-shifts as required.
