Electrician - 2nd or 3rd Shift

About the role

Wisconsin Centrifugal’s Maintenance Department in Waukesha, WI, is seeking an Industrial Electrician.

Responsibilities

• Install and service plant electrical distribution and control systems using diagrams and schematics, including switches, control panels, electronic devices, and related gear.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide variety of electrical equipment, such as:
  • Foundry equipment (ARC and induction furnaces, casting machines)
  • Machining equipment
  • CNC machine tools
  • Material handling equipment
• Perform all service in compliance with applicable codes, including NEC and OSHA.
• Instruct and assign work to other electricians.

Requirements

• Completed electrician’s apprenticeship or similar experience.
• Experience as an industrial electrician (preferred).
• Experience in installation and troubleshooting of relay and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Experience in PLC programming (a plus).
• Thorough knowledge of applicable electrical codes.
• Knowledge of DC motors and drives, AC motors and variable frequency drives, and servo systems.
• Experience working with high voltages greater than 480V (a plus).
• Demonstrated ingenuity and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
