Electrician - 3rd Shift

Position Overview

Bongards Premium Cheese is seeking an experienced Electrician to work third shift in Norwood, MN. The position will support production lines, focusing on electrical components and systems.

Job Duties

• Read and interpret electrical schematic drawings and diagrams to perform maintenance or install plant equipment.
• Perform electrical repairs to plant and building equipment.
• Perform preventative electrical repairs.
• Troubleshoot and replace electrical components or equipment and inside control panels.
• Aid in the installation and adjustment of new plant equipment.
• Operate a variety of power, hand, and shop tools safely.
• Notify lead or manager of related problems as required.
• Participate in continuing education sponsored by the company.
• Operate electrical test equipment.
• Have knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and motion control.
• Understand the National Electric Code (NEC).
• Follow OSHA safety procedures.
• Report all food safety and quality concerns to immediate supervisor or their designated replacement.

Demonstrated Technical Competencies

• Able to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Able to speak effectively to employees in various departments and outside vendors.
• Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement.
• Able to write routine reports such as work orders, preventative maintenance, etc.
• Able to interpret a variety of instructions presented in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Able to demonstrate excellent communication skills.

Safety

• Comply with all general safety policies and procedures in accordance with Company, Local, State, and Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.

Physical Capabilities

• Able to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Able to climb ladders at varying heights.
