Electrician - 3rd Shift

About the role

Bongards Premium Cheese is seeking an experienced Electrician to support production lines with an emphasis on electrical components and systems. This position requires reading and interpreting electrical schematic drawings, performing repairs, and troubleshooting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical schematic drawings and diagrams to perform maintenance or install plant equipment.
• Perform preventative electrical repairs.
• Troubleshoot and replace electrical components or equipment and inside control panels.
• Aid in the installation and adjustment of new plant equipment.
• Operate a variety of power, hand, and shop tools safely.
• Notify lead or manager of related problems as required.
• Participate in continuing education sponsored by the company.
• Operate electrical test equipment.
• Understand PLC's, HMI's, and motion control.
• Follow the National Electric Code (NEC).
• Adhere to OSHA safety procedures.
• Report all food safety and quality concerns to immediate supervisor or their designated replacement.

Requirements

• Must be able to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with employees and outside vendors.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement.
• Must be able to write routine reports such as work orders and preventative maintenance.
• Must be able to interpret instructions presented in various forms.
• Must be willing to follow directions from management.
• Must be able to work as a team and interact professionally with coworkers.
• Must comply with all safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of and follow OSHA safety procedures.
• Must have an understanding of PLC's, HMI's, and motion control.
• Must have an understanding of the National Electric Code (NEC).
• Must have demonstrated technical competencies, including reading and interpreting documents, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing, writing routine reports, and following written and verbal instructions.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds and climb ladders at varying heights.

Skills

• Knowledge of electrical systems and components.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical issues.

Pay

$33.75 to $42.16 per hour
