Essential Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems and equipment for the generation and distribution of electrical energy such as: generators, automatic and manual transfer panels, switchboards, circuit breakers, motor control centers, pumps & motors, control systems, variable speed drives and soft starts, conduit systems, power and lighting systems, lightning protection and grounding systems, airfield lighting systems, motor-generator frequency convertor sets, and uninterruptible power systems.
- Must have experience with HVAC systems to include heat pumps, split systems, chilled water systems, boilers, and controls systems.
- Must be able to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications.
- Perform electrical computations.
- Use a variety of hand tools for measuring, testing, and recording equipment.
- Must be able to repair a multitude of commercial food preparation equipment.
- Must have experience with Quarry, Concrete, & Asphalt batch plant control systems.
- Use Goldak and Metrotech underground utility locating equipment.
- Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must have five years of experience as a Wireman or completion of a recognized apprenticeship program required.
- Must possess Journeyman status.
- Requires experience in assembly of electronic-type equipment with the ability to perform certified soldering, wire wrapping, cabling and knowledge of wire lists, parts lists, assembly and fabrication drawings.
- Must have computer skills to include MS Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
- Must be able to research, specify, and order materials.
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Maintain a valid state driver license.
- MUST be able to meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain the required government security clearance (TSSSBI) and access to the work location.
Additional Mandatory Qualifications
- OSHA-10 cards, Construction Industry CPR/First-Aid card
- Rigging I Signaling Boom, Fork, and Scissor Lift training certifications

Note
- Work is performed outdoors in the field exposed to adverse weather conditions and occasionally indoors in shop/office environment.
- Must be able to work in remote locations with limited medical personnel and facilities.
- Must be able to climb and work off of ladders, elevated platforms, and wear fall arrest gear.
- Must have normal color vision, freedom from fear of heights and confined spaces.
- May be required to wear a respirator.
- Must stay proficient in CPR.
- Must comply with all Safety practices and Environmental regulations.
